How flooring samples get to your kitchen table
Most flooring jobs in Houston, TX and Katy, TX start with a trip to a store, a hundred boards under fluorescent light, and a color that looks different the moment it gets home. Ours starts at your kitchen table.
You tell us the rooms
A form or a phone call. Rough square footage if you know it, a guess if you don't, and what the floor is doing now. We book a time that suits you, including evenings.
The samples come to you
We bring the boards to your table, measure the rooms, and check what is under the existing floor. You hold the plank next to your own cabinets, in your own light, with your own furniture in the room.
You pick, then we install
Material and color, decided by you, in your own time. Then the same outfit that showed you the samples lays the floor. You are not handed to a stranger after you sign.
The part nobody says out loud
Worried about an in-home flooring sales pitch?
Somebody comes to the house with samples, and two hours later they are still at the table waiting for a signature. That is a real thing that happens, and it is why the national chains have the reputation they have. Here is what is different about this one.
Nobody here works on commission
The person at your table is not paid more for selling you a more expensive floor. There is no incentive to talk you up a grade, and no reason to stay after you have what you need.
There is no “today only” price
The number we give you is the number next week. Take the quote, sleep on it, get two more. A price that expires when the salesman leaves was never a real price.

This is the actual catalogue we quote from. Vinyl plank, sometimes called LVP, is what we recommend and install most: it is waterproof through the plank, which matters in a Houston house. Laminate is the budget-friendly version of the same look. Engineered hardwood is real wood on a stable core, and it is a different product from solid hardwood.
Pick a category, narrow it by plank width, and tell us which ones you want in your hand. We bring those boards, not a binder.

What free flooring installation covers
Pick your floor from the boards we bring to your table and there is no separate labor bill. Most floors start at $6 a square foot, fitted, and that is the number on the written quote.
One price, not two
Whichever board you pick off your own kitchen table, the floor and the fitting land on the same quote. There is no second trip to buy your own material and no labor bill behind it.
Written down before anything starts
After the walkthrough you get the product, the prep, the transitions and the trim, each with a price next to it. That is the number you pay.
Nothing added on the day
If the slab needs leveling, you hear it at the quote, not once the furniture is out. What is under the floor is the thing that moves a flooring price, so we look at it first.
What free covers, exactly
- It applies to the floor we supply. Already bought one somewhere else? We will still lay it, quoted as labor.
- Stairs are quoted on their own, because they are their own trade.
- Leveling and taking the old floor out are their own priced lines on the written scope, agreed before anything starts.
Where you land in that range comes down to the slab, whether the old floor has to come out first, and the wear layer on the board you pick.
