How it works
Three steps, and one of them is us driving
Most flooring jobs in Houston, TX and Katy, TX start with a trip to a store, a hundred boards under fluorescent light, and a color that looks different the moment it gets home. Ours starts at your kitchen table.
You tell us the rooms
A form or a phone call. Rough square footage if you know it, a guess if you don't, and what the floor is doing now. We book a time that suits you, including evenings.
The samples come to you
We bring the boards to your table, measure the rooms, and check what is under the existing floor. You hold the plank next to your own cabinets, in your own light, with your own furniture in the room.
You pick, then we install
Material and color, decided by you, in your own time. Then the same outfit that showed you the samples lays the floor. You are not handed to a stranger after you sign.
The part nobody says out loud

Somebody comes to the house with samples, and two hours later they are still at the table waiting for a signature. That is a real thing that happens, and it is why the national chains have the reputation they have. Here is what is different about this one.
Nobody here works on commission
The person at your table is not paid more for selling you a more expensive floor. There is no incentive to talk you up a grade, and no reason to stay after you have what you need.
There is no “today only” price
The number we give you is the number next week. Take the quote, sleep on it, get two more. A price that expires when the salesman leaves was never a real price.

BDF’s owner brings the samples, and BDF’s owner runs the crew that lays the floor. He is on the job. You are not passed from the person who sold it to a subcontractor who has never spoken to you.

148 colors, and the ones you like arrive as real boards
This is the actual catalogue we quote from. Vinyl plank, sometimes called LVP, is what we recommend and install most: it is waterproof through the plank, which matters in a Houston house. Laminate is the budget-friendly version of the same look. Engineered hardwood is real wood on a stable core, and it is a different product from solid hardwood.
